Wow our own piece of Paradise. From the moment we arrived at Kundalini Villa we knew we were going to be well looked after.Dini made us feel welcome & organised everything we needed from tours, drivers, massages and even if we needed a bottle of wine. As for the meals cooked by the lovely Iluh, absolutely amazing. Home cooked Balinese food prepared with love. Nothing was too much trouble & Iluh always had a smile. Arya our gardener was also very lovely & the gardens and grounds were not only beautiful but spotless.The rooms were enormous as was the bed, as for the shower & bath outdoors again so special.The pool in the gardens looked out onto the water & all of this just for us. No other tourists, our very own place.The day beds where we hung out, had our massages and just relaxed & took in our beautiful surrounds was the best. One of the most tranquil, beautiful places I have ever stayed in. Dini, Iluh, Arya & all of the security staff and all of the drivers thank you so very much.

Dini and the whole team at our villa were amazing. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back again. Iloh's (hope I got her name right) cooking was DELICIOUS!!! The view was gorgeous and our kids loved the pool. Beds were super comfortable. Service was out of this world. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great value

Beautiful villa, lovely garden with flowers and birds singing. So peaceful. We enjoyed massages on the sea view bed at the end of the garden and my husband spent a few hours working from there each day too - there is good wifi coverage even at the end of the garden. Iluh is a wonderful chef and prepared us lovely breakfasts and fantastic fresh tuna. The beach is not great - lots of trash which is a shame so if you’re looking to spend a lot of time on the beach I would look elsewhere. Lots of bugs/ lizards etc around (and we saw 2 snakes around the rice fields at the back!) but my son thoroughly enjoyed watching them all so no problem for us! Would love to come back one day and would recommend for anyone wanting a very relaxing and peaceful holiday.

Extremely beautiful property, great place to escape. Pool was very clean and warm, we used it a lot. It’s 20 minutes from town, so be prepared for that, but there is a lovely restaurant 10 minute walk along the beach. Iluh is a wonderful person and chef and will cook up to 3 meals a day, but we opted for breakfast only because we value privacy even more than food. If it’s not raining, it’s a fun ride on the bike to town. Perfect place to “hide out” after party time in Seminyak or Ubud. Great place for several couples to hang out and get pampered.

I recommend this place for everyone who wants to enjoy the peace and the scenery along with isolation from the crowded places

This place was so lovely! The house, grounds and pool were very clean. The staff were very nice. The location is quite far from any town, which is the point of going to the north end of the island and getting away from the hustle and bustle of main cities. The chef is in house from 8am-4pm to make you whatever you’d like from their menu. Fabulous fabulous fabulous food. They do the shopping in the morning and then you just pay them for the groceries. You can also request that they pick up other things for you, like beer. I’d recommend having enough cash on you before you get there and have some snacks as well. There was also leftovers though for midnight snacks. If you’re going for a decent amount of nights, I’d bring some board games as the TV didn’t work and the bugs were quite bad at night.

Our stay at this villa surpassed all of our expectations. We were five friends who just wanted to relax and lay by the pool, and this was perfect. The villa is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, with ample indoor living and a gorgeous outdoor living place. Each of the four bedrooms had a bathroom, air conditioning and comfortable beds. The highlight of our trip was Iluh's cooking. She provided us with three exquisite meals daily, using freshly bought ingredients from the local markets. Dini would meet with us each morning to organise the menu for the following day, and we were never disappointed with the meals provided! Dini was also available to purchase anything we needed and couldn't have been more helpful. ALL the staff were amazing, helping to make our trip perfect!! If you want a quiet, relaxing stay, away from the business of the tourist centres, and where you literally don't have to lift a finger, then this is the place for you. It also allowed us to see how the locals really live. Rolf, our host, was excellent at communicating with us and would respond quickly with answers to any of our questions. It is about a 3-hour drive from Legian, so it's best to leave early in the morning and get your driver (that Rolf organised for us as part of the booking) to stop off for lunch and see some of the sights along the way. This place is one in a million, and we could not recommend it enough!!

villa ayu is the perfect place to spend a family holiday from being picked up at the airport our family were made to feel very welcome the staff kept the villa spotless nothing was too much trouble the pool and garden was cleaned everyday always with a smile ,dini came everyday to make sure everything was OK and organise divers for our trips also very good always on time the staff were fantastic with our 8 month old baby ,a special mention for iluh and her cooking it was fantastic she cooked a piece of bali everyday ,north bali has plenty to see and do lots of fantastic places to visit a lot quieter than the South which makes it feel like you are living with the balinese people the villa is surrounded with rice fields ,the sunsets are spectacular watching the sun go down with a bottle of bintang is a great way to end the day ,beach is not brilliant but was kept clean outside the the villa the sea is fine for swimming and snorkeling when you get a bit further out all in all a perfect place to spend a family holiday but remember you are in Indonesia there are a few bugs or so but the geckos at the villa are great to watch on an evening ,the only real problem was that we had to leave and go home ,we will definitely be back

This is an excellent place as described. The house and gardens are beautiful and the sea view perfect. We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it. Dini is helpful & welcoming, as were all the people and a special shout-out to Illuh. Her care and wonderful cooking were second to none.

We had a fantastic stay, everything was taken care of for us which just allowed us to relax. We had a birthday and Dini made sure to organise something special for the day which was much appreciated. The location is quite out of the way, which for us was perfect, but just something to keep in mind. Having meals prepared daily was also fantastic, just make sure to put a bit of thought into what meals you would like.
